Can anyone tell why she has lost her feathers on the back or is it Juv

Nice shot. Nice pose. Wish the branch behind it were absent. It's a male. I think the plumage on the back is normal, but the wings usually touch each other along the back when closed.

Eye contact is fine. Vertical composition is fine as well. I agree that the dark out of focus branch just behind it head is a distraction. Else, it would have looked better.

I agree it is a male sparrow. Nice head turn and eye contact. You could have placed it a bit more to the right. Thanks for sharing.
