Nice perch. It is nicely camoflagued with the bark. You could have moved the camera a bit up to avoid the space at the left bottom and to include the leaves in full at the top. Thanks for sharing.

The eye contact is fine. The focus is on the branch and the lens needed to be stopped down further to cover the bird. Moving the focus point slightly behind and placing it on the bird would have made the bird appear sharper. It seems you were shooting through vegetation. The out of focus diagonal white coloured branch just in front of the bird distracts a bit. Thanks for sharing.
