Last year a nest was built by the Scaly Breasted Munia's in my daughter's bedroom balcony. The nest is thoughtfully built between the gap of the AC outdoor unit & the wall. After nesting for several months the Munia's left with their chicks, later the same nest was occupied by Indian Silverbill Munia's for couple of months.

For past few months the nest was vacant, now we have our new guest and surprisingly it is Sparrows both male and female. They have made their home here:thumbup:.

I am sharing one of the images of the female sparrow that I shot yesterday (Saturday), it is a Full Frame.

p.s. kindly ignore dust spots, need to send my camera for service:(

Camera Model Canon EOS 40D, 100-400mm
Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1/320
Av( Aperture Value ) 8
ISO 400
Focal length 400mm
Full frame & Hand held

Congratulations!!! Looking forward to your 1000th post soon :). Seems your AC is the safest place for birds :).

Nice portrait. Sharp. The eye contact is great. The open beak is a plus. Nicely photographed.

Praveen,
Congratulations on the 900th post! Good that sparrows have found a place to nest and breed.

The background looks nicely diffused. The image is sharp. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

A very nice capture and opting for f8 has helped get the desired effect.
Wish you had the entire bird in the frame
