Shot this on the weekend at private farm on the outskirts of Bangalore, id help appreciated. Pl ignore the dust spot

Nice perch. I liked the colours. The wing position and details are nice. You could have tried photographing from the other side with it facing you. The background is nice and clear. What is the white spot at the bottom? Thanks for sharing.

Very good picture. Based on the visible parts, I think it is a Yellow-tailed Ashy Skimmer (Potamarcha congener). This is a medium sized dragonfly with bluish black thorax and yellow tail with black markings. Wings are transparent and tipped with brown. Wingspot is dark reddish brown.

Colourful and nice. Wings look transparent. For identification purpose this angle looks better with both the wings spread out.
