This Brown Fish Owl was taking dips in a water hole, as she heard noise of our jeep, she flew far away deep into the forest & perched on a branch. Actually it was really difficult to sight her with naked eye, I managed to take few shots for record purpose. The light was also not in our favor, this is a big crop:(

Coincidentally this is the 3rd time I have photographed a BFO and all are record shots:(, 1st shot was at Bandipur then Ranthambhore and BRT-K Gudi.

Camera Model Canon EOS 40D, 100-400mm

Hi praveen,

Even i came across BFO when i was in BRT on MAY 14-17 for elephant census, But unfortunately i couldn photograph as i was carrying 18-55mm lens and it was sitting far .

Thanks for sharing.

The perch and the eye contact is nice. Wish it was closer to you. Thanks for sharing.

You might want to try and reduce the noise.
