A news item appeared in The Hndu today(28.5.2010) regarding cell phones and their deleterious effects on bees.
Bees require 'Magnetite" for navigation.Magnetite is a natural magnet.The "electro-smog" created by cell phones interferes with this system.
As per CURRENT SCIENCE;"Electromagnetic frequenzy emitted by cell phones reduces bees' colony size and the number of eggs laid by the queen bee and changes their behaviour".
The researdh was conducted at Punjab University,Chandigarh by Ved Parkash Sharma and Neelima R Kumar.
The report says that the house sparrows disappered becase of cellphone radiation.
