Dear All,
Indian Monitor Lizard from the Bandhavgarh national park.

EOS 50D+300F4+ 1.4xII at 1/500, ISO 400, F8.

I guess i got the DOF wrong, should have got more of the Monitor in focus.

Cheers
Dipankar

Dipankar,
The lower perspective is nice and makes the image interesting. Normally, when you click from a gypsy with the monitor lizard on the ground, one gets a steep angle. Was it on a raised ground?

The claws on the right leg are not visible. It would have been good if you would have got some more space at the bottom, however, it is not so much apparent here. The head is slightly turned away from the body. Increasing the sharpening a bit more will be good.

Lowering the colour temperature will be helpful as the bright patch in the background will be better controlled. (Lowering the colour temperature during processing helps in controlling the highlights better).

Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

Nice low angle. Its good that the eye is in clear and sharp. Agree with Sabyasachi, about including the right paw. Thanks for sharing.

Nice. I agree about the leg. The flicked out tongue is a plus. DOF looks ok to me.
