This was basically a grab shot. I preferred to use the 300mm as handholding the 400mm at such low light would have been impossible.

Nice composition and eye contact. The bark framing looks good. I have been trying to photograph this bird, but before teh jeep can stop, it flies off. The uncropped image looks good. Thanks for sharing.
