Asiatic elephant, bandipur tiger reserve. This is the same elephant that charged.

Mark the pose. When ever it rubs its foreleg on the other, it is a precursor for a charge. One may think that the elephant is standing silently. However, it is just making up its mind to charge.

Canon EOS 1D Mark IV, ISO 800, 1/250, EV: +1/3, f6.3, full frame image.

Cheers,

Nice composition. The pose displays the behaviour nicely. Thanks for sharing the information. Look forward to more.

Thanks for sharing about the behaviour. I was unaware of this. The composition looks nice. A 800px image doesn't do justice to this. A large image of this on the wall would look lovely :)

Bibhav,
I had read this in the child hood days (Shri Gadadhar Ray in his book Danta Hatira pratihinsha in oriya). Then later on saw this several times. I thought of sharing as people trekking may find it useful as you can't outrun an elephant.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi
