Congrats Praveen on your new 7D.
I like the composition. I would have preferred a more traditional crop here.
An eclipse plumage is the plumage a male bird goes into when its not in breeding season.
Quoting from Wiki
"Many ducks have bright, colourful plumage, exhibiting strong sexual dimorphism to attract the females. However, they moult into a dull plumage in the non-breeding season. This drab female-like appearance is the eclipse plumage. When they shed feathers to go into eclipse, the ducks become flightless for a short period of time. Some duck species remain in eclipse for one to three months in the summer, while other would retain the cryptic plumage until the next spring when they undergo another moult to return to their breeding plumage"

Congratulations. Good to see that you immediately inaugurated it :).
The diagonal composition is nice. There is slight noise in the background, how much crop is this? Look forward to more from 7D. Thanks for sharing.

Congrats on the new camera.
Nice shot. I agree with Bibhav about the crop. A slight head turn towards you would have made this lovely.
TFS.
