Black and white looks good when there is patterns or textures to be highlighted or there is good tonal range across the image. Wish the Sun was behind you. The eye being in shade, doesn't look good.

Lovely image. I like the colour images better, though. Why ISO 400? I suppose 100 or 200 would have been sufficient... (?)

Abhishek, You are right. I could have used a lower ISO here. The sun was coming on and off the clouds, so light was changing. Hence I chose 400 to be safe. ISO 200 would definitely have been the way to go here. :(
