Purple Heron

I really love the way Herons and Egrets freeze while hunting. This guy freezed for a good 5 minutes without moving an inch. The purple heron also sometimes on sensing danger freezes in an impossible angle with it Neck head and Beak straight up they try to look like a reed in the middle of which they are mostly found.This guy did nothing of the sort when he spotted me. He said Kwark ( what a nuisance in HERONESE ) and flew away...

Nice habitat. The eye contact is good. Just thinking whether a bit more space in the bottom than on the top would enhance the composition further. Thanks for sharing.
