Composition is fine. However, for tall birds, vertical is always better. The eye contact is fine. Walking pose is nice and this shows the habitat. There is lack of details and sharpness in the image, probably due to large crop. For a moving bird the 1/160 shutter speed is often less. You can increase the ISO. ISO 200 would have given you 1/320 and ISO 400 would have resulted in 1/640second shutter speed.

The eye contact is nice. A vertical composition would have enhanced the image further. Some more space at the bottom would be nice. You could have tried to increase the ISO for a narrower aperture. Thanks for sharing.

The eye contact looks good. I like its placement in the frame as well. You could have tried using a narrower aperture to get more depth of field. Using a narrower aperture would have reduced your shutter speed. But since you were shooting at ISO 100, you could have increased the ISO and reduced the aperture to get decent shutter speed.
