The catch is a plus here. A little more eye contact would have made it better.

The catch is nice. The sharp branch at the top left attracts a bit of attention and can be cropped off. Wish it had turned a bit more towards you. Good that you got some eye contact. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with the previous comments. It is not easy getting good bird shots with a compact camera. You are doing well. Just keep an eye on the basics and try to move in close and have patience.
