This one is from the pack of 17, shot quite early in the morning at Mangala dam, Bandipur on 12th Sept'10

Seems like it after some prey. The raised leg is interesting. Was it trying to hunt? Thanks for sharing.

Mrudul actually it was after another spot billed duck not in frame.

How far was the duck? Did the dhole charge? A higher shutter speed would have been better. Thanks for sharing.

Nice.This is intresting spot billed ducks for early morning snack is not too bad..:001_smile:Agree about the SS.

The pose looks nice. I like the composition as well.Some more contrast would look good. Did he get the duck?

Guys thanks for the comments, the dhole was actually not in mood to charge. It was playing with spot billed duck & shooing away on some occasions.
Also all this was happening at a distance, we were at one side of the dam and the dholes were on the other side. I tried few with 500mm and few by connecting 1.4x TC.
