This border is spoiling the image.Not soothing at all.The branch infront of the face is disturbing.Try to avoid in future.

The vertical composition is nice. I agree moving a bit more to the left to avoid the branch would have been good. Having some more space in the direction it is looking would also have been better.

Once you have taken a photograph, it is always good to then take a moment and judge how you can compose it better (if the bird is still there :)), then you can try to avoid the distractions as much as possible. Keep posting.

I agree with Mrudul. You could have tried recomposing after getting a record shot. The borders look distracting. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with the previous comments. I am sure you will get many more chances to get better images of this species. Keep on trying.
