Shot in Valparai. The kid was playing around and eating while its mom sat on top. This view reminded me of how every parent thinks that their child is too naughty. :)

Canon 1000D, 300 f/4 + 1.4x
SS 1/250
f/4
ISO 400

Full Frame.

Nice behaviour captured. Wish the kid was in focus too. The vertical composition is nice. Thanks for sharing.

Nice behaviour captured Bibhav, it's a treat to watch this. I can understand such actions are not easy to capture.

I understand the light is low in those conditions. A narrow aperture would have been great. How did you get f4 even after attaching the 1.4x converter to your F4 lens? Probably you could have gone up to ISO 800. It would have been great if the kid were looking into the frame. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,

Sorry. This was with the Bare 300mm. Wrote the 1.4x by mistake.

Very nice emotion captured

I am using this forum to learn photography; i have a question:
It seemed that the sharpest focus is on the leaves between the mom and kid.
Is this intentional? Or will it be better to focus on at least one of the animals since you can't focus both?

The sharpest focus is on the face of the mother. The leaves behind look sharp due to the greater contrast between them and the background. Ideally I would have liked a greater depth of field but light was low and I couldnt afford it. I could have used ISO 800, but since there were blacks in the image, I felt the noise would be higher and so I didnt use it.
