Nice image, i guess this is known as Great Thick Knee or Stone Plover. The light seems a bit harsh

I agree it is a Stone Plover. Wish the bird in the background was not present. The light is quite harsh. You could have placed it a bit more to the left of the frame. Thanks for sharing.

It would be good if you are in a position where your shadow points towards the bird. Side lighting is not good in bringing out details in the bird. In this case the sun was overhead. The white balance needs to be tweaked a bit. Looks like shade/cloudy white balance is used along with a higher contrast. That increases the harsh light feeling.

Nice image but the ibis in the back is a distraction i think . I have to agree on the previous comments about harsh lighting . I think , it should have been placed on the left of the frame . Thanks for sharing

I agree with the comments made. Also I feel that the White balance does need a shift towards the cooler side. Thanks for sharing.
