The background is nice. The head turn is an issue here. The ideal head turn would differ from image to image, but one that is slightly off the plane of the sensor and angled towards you usually works. Experts on the forum can perhaps provide a better explanation.

The difference is mainly in the head turn. In this case, the Red Munia's head is turned away from you. When the head is turned away from you, the image suffers from two issues:
1. As humans, during a conversation if the other party turns his/her head away and talk, the intimacy goes away. It is felt that the person is not paying attention. Same thing happens here. When the head is turned away, it gives an impression of lack of intimacy. The image becomes less engaging.

2. When the head is turned away, the head and body are at a distance and it becomes difficult to get both the head and body in focus.

Also in this image, the bird occupies a larger area in the frame as compared to the previous image. You moved a few steps towards the bird?

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

Agree with both Sabyasachi and Bibhav, in addition for the this image 2nd one I performed a strong noise reduction. Hence wanted to check if there is any fall in quality and details.
thanks for taking the pain in providing your views.
