One of a pair which is nesting some where near my house on calicut outskirts.Used to hear and see them every day. Tried many times to get close but they are too good for me.This is the best i could do till date.should try out a hide some time....

The eye contact is good. You should try a hide. If you don't have a hide, then you can create a gunny bag hide as well and leave it there for some days. The owl will get used to it and you will be able to observe it from a closer distance without any disturbance. Thanks for sharing.
