This image was created at shore level after I followed the Cormorant.

Tech Specs:
f5.6, 1/1000, ISO200.

Need feedback on a composition aspect:
There are 4 layers in this image. As per the tip section by Sabyasachi, in a landscape composition, the image should not be split in halves. Whats your opinion? How could I have improved on this picture?

Hi Ranbir,

I feel the top portion of the image is not very interesting,so you can crop that part a bit..so more focus will be on the birds, which will help to enhance the compostition.

The horizon is a bit tilted,so that can be corrected too.

I think these basic things would help and if possible a different angle to get more interesting positions of the birds.

Let me know..about ur views.

The horizon or water level appears to divide the image into two halves. One should try to avoid this as it makes the image static. Since the interesting stuff is in the water, you would have been better to include more of water in the frame.

You got a lower angle, as you managed to breach the wire fence (in so many visits I haven't seen the breach). An angle even lower than this would have helped you avoid the water line cutting the fellows head. People go to the extent of lying on the mud. Personally, I don't find comfortable in lying on my belly on the mud, may be I will do so if a tiger is there instead of a bird. :D

It would have been better if you could have moved your camera to the right. That way, you would have avoided including part of a bird in the left. May be you used centre point AF? Focus recompose would have helped.
