This Male had one of the most impressive pair of Horns i have seen.Another massive set I have come across is mounted on a wall of my ancestral home. Always wondered about the splendor of that animal and the stupidity of my ancestor who brought it down.

Shot at Tholpetty, light was very low and it was drizzling.

He looks imposing. Gaurs are staging a come back in many of their erst while territories and these big ones can pass on their best genes if left unmolested. Unfortunately we rarely come across such big elephant bulls.

TFS.

Nice image, he seems quite huge. The shutter speed is low but still the image has power and impact.

The horns does look like made of steel. The rain drops on the back look good. A bit more space at the bottom would have been good. Wish the light was better. Thanks for sharing.

Agree with the previous comments. More space at the bottom would have been better. Nice pair of horns. Since the gaurs were earlier decimated due to the foot and mouth disease, it is important that the population grows well and repopulates all the areas.

Cheers,
