Blue Oakleaf butterfly clicked at Amboli.
This image is actually clicked as horizontal frame . The butterfly was perched upside down. feels better after making it vertical.

The butterfly resembles a dry leaf complete with veins and rotted holes. the upper side is brilliant blue.

1/50 , f7.1 and flash with lumix FZ28

It surely looks like dry leaf. Do you have any photographs displaying the upper brilliant blue side? Thanks for sharing the information. Look forward to more.

Mrudul , This one flew away before I could click it with wings open , but I must be having some old record shots. Will search and post soon...
