This seems like a large crop. The sharpneing artifacts can be seen. And ofcourse a natural perch would have been great. Did you click this at the bird valley? If possible waiting in a hide would be great to see these fellows up close. When you click a bird with the body and tail towards you, it becomes a challenge to get the head in focus as well. In such cases, a narrow aperture would work better to get the head in focus.
