Am no expert but light seems to be low... some brightness could have done wonders especially if its hide had shined
It appears that this was a long shot. i guess a little broader composition would have helped.

Nice looks. Saliva falling from the mouth adds to the image. Less of fill light/less of shadow and more of contrast would further enhance the image. A bit more brightness would also be fine. Thanks for sharing.
