The curled trunk looks nice. The details are good. Liked the vertical composition, you could have included the tip of the foot on the edge at the right corner. Thanks for sharing.

Another very well exposed image. However, even with the lens wide open, the background is a bit distracting. You may have tried zooming to the longest focal length to frame only the head portion as it is where the action is. It would have also increased the visibility of the skin details of the elephant.

The tusks are very beautifiul and shapely as though someone had carved them. I guess it tells us that this fellow had a fairly peaceful existence so far in his society!

I agree that zooming in on the head would have lowered the depth of field. Ofcourse, the aperture would have narrowed from f4.5 to f5.6. It is unfortunate that the bamboos are there in the background just behind the head. Else, it would have been nice. Thanks for sharing.
