This image was created in Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary, AP.

I was photographing with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II, Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L IS USM lens, EF 2x II converter, ISO 200. f6.3, 1/800.

The effective focal length was 800*1.3 (due to the factor of the sensor) = 1040mm

Ranbir who was photographing by my side was using a EOS 450D, and Sigma 120-400mm at 400mm end. So his effective focal length was 400*1.6 (factor of the sensor) = 640mm. You can see his image in the following link

Beautiful capture. From the image its clear that the pelican had just taken flight... The water splash looks beautiful too.

Perfect timing! Love how the action has been frozen. The splash and water drops frozen in air look great.

Lovely action shot , SP . Loved the water drops and the angle .
On my monitor , it appears a tad bit bright . An underexposed image by about -1.5 stops , should bring more details and colours IMHO.
