Bsed on color and scaly pattern on breast, most probably a Blue-capped Rock Thrush Female.

Thank you Tushar. Been banging my head since morning on its ID. Somehow couldn't pinpoint in Grimmett and Inskipp.

Just "Blue Rock Thrush". You can compare the image of the same bird in Pune, which I have uploaded yesterday.Thanks.

Thanks Satishchandra! I checked the image you've uploaded today.

Main difference between Blue Rock-Thrush and Blue-capped Rock Thrush females is the pattern on the underparts. In case of Blue Rock-Thrush, it is "barred" (as in your image - which males too exhibit) whereas in case of Blue-capped Rock Thrush it is brown and white "scaly" pattern. Oriental birds portal or Birds of India are good references. One more clue in both the images is the typical habitats they enjoy with Blue Rock Thrush enjoying barren rocky lands whereas the other preferring jungle areas.

Regards,
Tushar
