Ranganathittu bird sanctuary.

Canon EOS 1D Mark IV, EF 400mm f2.8 L IS USM, EF 2xII, 1/1250, f6.3, ISO 3200

This is a crop. The boat was swaying and I was handholding. After a while, my hands were paining like (better not to describe ). So I wanted a higher shutter speed and the hence the higher ISO.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

PS: Normally I don't crop. However, this is an exception, as I was trying to see the sharpness while handholding.

Lovely frame Sabyasachi, the eye contact is excellent. Sharp shot considering hand-holding

Nice one. The details and the eye contact is nice. The vertical composition looks good. Not much noise considering the high ISO. Thanks for sharing.

I know how it feels to handhold that contraption. I can hardly handhold my 1DIV and EF500mm f4 L IS. Great image as always. Isn't it amazing how well the 1DIV handles noise at high ISO considering this is a crop. LR3 also adds to effective noise reduction.

Gautam,
It is not easy to handhold this lens beyond a few seconds. One has to just lift, focus and fire quickly. Try it too many times, and I am sure the back will need surgery. :) I checked the image. It is 52% cropped.

Sankar,
As per your wish, uploading the same image after turning it upside down.

Viewers please don't take this image as reality, as the image has been rotated upside down.

Apologies for the long absence. I lost my internet data card :(.

Nice image. Would have been nice if the bat on the left were absent. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely eye contact. Nice shot. Agree that it would have been better without the bat on the left.
