This is a very nice image you have created, good lighting, correct exposure, sharpness, the catchlight in the bird's eye make it a very nice image. IMHO the composition could probably be improved by cropping off the top of the image as the branches lead the eyes out of the image. The image then would be in a rectangular format with the birds head in the intersection of the upper right third and the lower left two-thirds of the image. The perch would then lead the eye from the lower left to the bird.
