Kestrel Landing

One from this weekend's birding. This year Kestrel sighting is really good - not sure why, but we had noticed a dip last year. Weather continues to play spoilsports and it was very cloudy again. Clicked in overcast conditions and against light. C&C most welcome!

Clicked with EOS 7D with 400mm f/5.6L @ f/7.1, 1/1000, ISO 400, EC +1 1/3 (reduced by 1/3 in processing making it +1). Basic processing with added sharpening to regain edges smugged due to bright light.

Lovely action captured Tushar, I liked the angle that you have shot, the wing spread is nice. Wish the light was better.

Beautiful landing pose captured. Its quite difficult to get this angle and timing right.

Lovely. The wings have come out well. The landing pose is nice. You clicked at the right moment. Wish the Sun was behind you. That would have lighted the face. However, with backlight, the wings come out well. Thanks for sharing.
