Shot on a Grey and dull day.I thought the pattern in the water will come good with a higher DOF.Didn't really work the way i thought it would. Advice appreciated....

Cute bird. The eye contact is nice. For getting patterns in water a higher depth of field is required, but the water needs to clean and if there are any reflections then the patterns wont look that good. I think because of the reflections the patterns are not very noticeable in the image. Thanks for sharing.

The details are nice. Placing it slightly more to the left would have been nice. Could you go lower? The f/11 used has given good DOF. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with Mrudul and Bibhav. The patterns will be good with higher aperture. Often, the reflection of the surrounding vegetation becomes distracting and the patterns are overpowered. Thanks for sharing.
