Hi

Another from my collection of May '09 in Corbett NP on the way to Dhikala. Our van nearly would have run into this Sambar, who just decided to cross the road suddenly. The Sambar was shaken for a moment and stared at us when I took this photo.

Road crossing has become quite dangerous for animals. The close-up is nice. The lighting is tricky. Nice eye contact. Thanks for sharing.

The lighting was tough. Closeups look good if there are more details. It is important to show the habitat as well ie. the environment in which the bird or animal is living.
