A natural sketch

I was shooting through a lot of branches and distractions and was able to get this nicely textured background. I just converted the RAW to B/W and played with levels and the contrast a little bit. It gave me the feeling of a pencil sketch. I didnt sharpen this image to keep the pencil sketch feel.

The composition is nice. The background does look better in b/w when you think of it like a sketch. Wish it was looking slightly towards you, for a better eye contact. Thanks for sharing.

Nice image. It looks like a sketch. Slight more brightness plus a catchlight in the eye would have been good. Though I don't use flash, in this case just a hint to get the catchlight would have been great. The branch appearing in the top right corner doesnt add to the image. Overall, good effort.

Nice and Novel. looks good, quite like a sketch. Agree that slightly less space on the left wuld look better.
