Great Pied Hornbill female.

Wish I were at a higher elevation.

Canon EOS 1D Mark IV, Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L IS USM, EF 2xII, ISO 1000, F5.6, 1/320, full frame image.

This image is not as good as the previous hornbill images that I have posted. Let me know what you don't like in this image.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

Lovely bird this is, beautiful colors, the white eye indicates the female species. I am yet to get a decent shot of this beauty.

Nice colours and eye contact. It would have been good if it was closer, so you could have avoided the -ve space behind the branch on the right. If it had slightly raised its head, the full beak would have been visible. It is good that you were able to capture it, with the light so bad I had already packed my camera :(. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful bird.Nice composition.A narrower aperture with lower angle would have been better. A bit more space on the left would have enhanced the composition further.TFS

I agree with the previous comments. I tried moving my camera more to the left, however, the small branch and leaves obstructing the tail feathers was not to my liking and I didn't want it to occupy the Rule of Thirds position on the right bottom. And to increase the challenge, the bird has its back towards the photographer and the head away. Apart from the difficulty in getting the depth of field to cover the full bird, it doesn't give a pleasing composition.
