Elephant quenching thirst - Bandipur

Bandipur Tiger Reserve.

This elephant knew that a tiger was around, though we couldn't see. The Sambars grazing nearby had given vent to alarm calls and run away. However, the elephant stood her ground and grazed nearby and drank water.

Unfortunately, the tiger didn't come out. Though I knew the location, it was difficult to sight it through the thick lantana weeds.
