Nice image. The background is well diffused and the green looks good. The perch has come out well. The leaf jutting out from the bottom frame at the extreme left doesn't add to the image.

The BG is nice. However, I'm not too sure if the centred composition works here!

The eye-contact is good and so are the colours. The catch-light in the eye is good too.

And dada, I'll enquire with dad if someone he knows is coming to Kolkata this week/next week. Or else, you could come down to hyderabad as anyway it is on your list and take that lens. It will also provide me an oppurtunity to meet you:)
