Shola forests of Avalanche

Beautiful Shola Forests of Avalanche, Nilgiris is a home to many endemic birds of Western Ghats. This place is also an IBA.

Sad part is, the grassy hill tops are infected with Wattle, the invasive weed.

Nice environment photograph. The different shades of green give a nice feel to the image. I think a more rectangular framing would have enhanced the composition further. Thanks for sharing.

Good to see an image from Avalanche. The forests look nice. It is unfortunate that these introduced species - wattle - has spread all over the place.

If the sunlight was falling from right to left, then the shadow of the mountain would have not been there and would have enhanced the image. Thanks for sharing.

Ya i remember our visit Mohan sir really we were discussing about how to stop the growth of wattle in the rainforest sholas, good image.
