Shot this image at Shamirpet lake, Hyderabad.

The little birdie was hovering above the water..what a sight it was! A naturally made aeroplane that does better than ours..haha. The kingfisher was flapping its wings fast but waa stationary in the air. Wonder how many more years it will take us to make one such plane? :)

Nice flight pose captured. It is surely a great sight to watch and photograph a kingfisher at its best. Wish it was a bit closer to you, as there is some loss of details. Thanks for sharing.

Good to see a pied kingfisher. The trick is to quickly lock focus before it dives or flies off. The other day I saw one hovering in pretty bad light. Though I handheld my lens and clicked, the settings were wrong and it got underexposed. Thanks for sharing.
