I have a few images where it is looking towards me. However, in those images there was no catchlight in the eye as the eye was in shadow. There was no space to move to the right as well, due to the vegetation.

Nice perch. I liked the composition. The details and the background is good. Agree moving to the right would have enhanced the eye contact further. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome capture. Loved the perch and pose you've got here. Something I would love to click once. Head turn towards you would have been great. Using fill flash may have helped get the catch light or it can be added later in PP. Latter will enable you use other frames where head turn is towards you and only missing thing is catch light :(
