the composition is fine. May be reducing the brightness a bit and controlling the whites on the bug would strengthen the image. A slight increase in depth of field would have got the bud better. If the bug were a bit infront, then it would have been great. In Macro, while playing with limited depth of field it is often a touch and go situation. Slight changes and a bit of luck can make a good image great. I like your limited depth of field experiments. Keep it up.

Nice details. Agree with the above comments. Just thinking, you could have placed the bug a bit more to the left to remove the out of focus area on the left. Thanks for sharing.
