Honestly, this came as a surprise. I was shooting this leopard continuously when he offered a half-turn and closed his eyes...
made 14 images of the same pose, so he kept his eyes closed for 5-6 seconds at least.
Why he did so, I do not know:) But the same thing, he did again a few min later!

A very peculiar behavior captured. The head turn is nice. The habitat displayed looks good. The first thought that came to my mind was, it might be because of the sunlight :), but that wont be the case as it did it twice. Really interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Looks like it woke up and got down from the tree. Why 216 mm? Sighting a leopard is always an exciting experience. Waiting for you to photograph a leopard with your new lens. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,

Thanks Sabyasachi. 216mm because I wanted to make an image that I could use with my intended composition directly. In fact, this image is hardly a 10% crop..so the max I would have shot is around 250-270mm! Sure hope to get a leopard when I will be in bandipur for two days this weekend:)
