Nice eye contact. The low angle looks good. Agree about reducing the highlights near the head area. Is this full frame? Some more space on the left from the right would enhance the composition further. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with the previous comments. Where was this photographed?

You can make use of the histogram while reviewing your images. After clicking your image you can check the image for blinking highlights. And then give a negative exposure compensation accordingly. You can check the tips section for details on exposure.
