Nice perch. Did you try a vertical?

How much of crop is this? The under parts have become dark and the details are not visible. When shooting a bird against the sky, one has to be careful about the exposure. The reason being the camera meter exposes for the sky when the subject is small in the frame. So in such situations you need to give a positive exposure compensation.

If in doubt, you can check the histogram in your camera. You may read this article: Indiawilds: Land of the Tiger. Conservation, Wildlife Photography, Communities (http://www.indiawilds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2006)

Nice perch and eye contact. Agree about the details in the underside. The catchlight is nice. Thanks for sharing.
