Photographed this at Bandhavgarh, Magadi Zone. We saw it crossing and then it sat and gave some good poses and then walked away, but before that gave a last look through the grass. Wish the light was on the eyes.

It is tough to photograph a subject in the grass. Nice that the eye is in the clear and is in focus. The out of focus bright grass seems to be much in front and a narrow aperture would not have brought it into focus. Wish the jackal would have posed with Sun in its face. :D Thanks for sharing.

I like this image . The stare, the colours of the coat and matching sorroundings looks nice. In fact it would be tough to spot him if he doesnot move.

Beautiful Eye contact. I guess if you were just a foot more to the right the jackal would have been framed withing the out of focus stalks and would have bumped up the wow factor of the image higher. Lovely image nonetheless. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely image. Beautiful eye contact. The vegetation all around enhances the image.
