I like the eye contact. Wish the bamboo leaf was not there infront of the eye. I liked the looks so much that I didn't click its sibling being in gorgeous light on the other side of the road.
Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve.
Canon EOS 1D Mark IV, Canon EF 70-200 f2.8 L IS II USM, EF 2xII at 400mm, f5.6, 1/1250, ISO 1250, full frame image.
I could have reduced the ISO, however, I was clicking handheld from a very unstable position leaning towards the tiger.
Cheers,

It certainly looks like a tricky situation....on one side you would be wanting to photograph the tiger in good light, but you are attracted towrds this cute tiger...well done in the end. I guess that ISO was need if you wre shooting handheld and being in a posture where you couldn't balance the camera too well:)
Very enjoyable..tfs!

Lovely close up. The eye contact is great. I liked the light. I still remember him sitting behind the bush watching us, when I was frantically photographing his sister, who was sitting on the other side. I have photographed him as well, will share those photographs soon. Thanks for sharing.

What a shot! Beautiful. I dont mind the leaf blocking the eye, I think it adds to the feel :).
Very nice. TFS.
