It was a serene morning...the jungle covered by mist, but wide awake with birds chirping everywhere:) Suddenly, a series of alarm calls came from a tree just above us but no movement of any animal could be sensed. We waited for a couple of minutes and the driver decided to move ahead...we must have gone about 10m when all of us sitting at the back saw a tiger walking on the track ahead of our jeep! In fact, the mist was such that both the driver and three others sitting in the front did not know there was a tiger till we asked the driver to stop and showed them the five lettered cat! And what a sight it was..to see him marking his kingdom from close quarters on a misty morning:)

Nice behavior captured. Did it turn back and look towards you? This is photographed in Bandipur? Which tiger is this? Look forward to more in the series. Thanks for sharing.

Sorry..forgot to mention the place:) It was in bandipur..and this one is the new male that came into the tourism zone last year in august..later he was pushed out of the tourism area by agasthya after a fierce fight. He was injured in that clash, but was bold enough to come back and claim a territory of his own in december/january:)
And we weren't fortunate enough that he would take time out of his work to give us a look..haha:)

Tiger suddenly emerging from the mist. Wow! What a way to experience God's most majestic creation!
In mist conditions you are supposed to give a positive exposure the quantum of which depends upon how misty it is. Thanks for sharing.
