Nice display of habitat. The eye contact and the ruffled feathers look good. The vegetation in the background is a bit distracting, thinking a pano composition would look better. Wish the light was less harsh. Thanks for sharing.

When the subject is small in the frame, it is better to get more of its habitat covered under depth of field. A pano crop will eliminate the out of focus vegetation in the background, however, the one at the rule of thirds position on the left will still be there. So better to try for narrow aperture and compose without it in the rule of thirds position. Thanks for sharing.
