Bibhav,

Couple of things to remember. Always try to keep an eye on distracting highlights in the background. In your photo, you can see where ever the sky is not covered by foliage, the bright sky appears and takes away attention from the image.

Try moving to your side or raising your camera to avoid these highlights. Simply try to cover those bright areas with your palm and you will realise that your picture improves.

I guess you had taken this in the auto mode. In the macro subjects you need to try to get a higher depth of field by using a higher aperture. Here the aperture used is f2.8. Of course the smaller sensors of your camera gives a much higher depth of field. However a higher aperture will be better. You have to also keep an eye on your shutter speed as it was down to 1/45.

thanks... will keep that in mind... the prob with a Pns is that in order to shoot in manual mode you have to go through the software to access the controls and sometimes by then it is too late to click the subject... have access to a D80... will try using dat... for manual controls..
