Common Tailor Bird at the same tree that I had posted last time. But this was shot today.

Full Frame image.
Canon 1000D, 420mm
SS 1/60
f/8
ISO 800

Took a gamble at f/8 and such a low shutter speed with a skittish bird. Seems it paid off thanks to IS.

Comments and Critiques welcome.

PS: Note the T shaped object at the bottom right. Its a wasp :)

Nice shot. Lovely details and sharpness for a 1/60 shot. The catchlight in the eye looks good, so does the clean BG.

Oh yes...the IS on the lens is really very good:) May be moving slightly to the left would have allowed you to avoid the bright white spot in the BG...otherwise, the eye has come out well and an enjoyable image overall:)

Lovely perch and eye contact. The details are nice. I agree moving a bit to the left would have also helped to avoid the vertical out of focus branch on the left. The clean background adds to the image. Thanks for sharing.

Nice image Bibhav!

The eye contact is nice. The 300 mm f4 is a nice lens and the IS works well, so sharp image at 1/60 is expected. However, you were clicking a small bird which makes fast movements and hence a shutter speed like 1/60 is not sufficient to capture the fast subject movement. One needs to wait and select the moment when the bird becomes still and then click. Thanks for sharing.
